Denmark Plans to Cut 17.5 Billion Kroner in Business Red Tape

Danish companies may soon face less paperwork and administrative burdens. Minister of Business and Competitiveness Martin Lidegaard wants to cut business red tape. He aims to reduce burdens by 17.5 billion Danish kroner.

The Ministry of Business calculated total corporate administrative burdens at 70 billion Danish kroner. About two-thirds of these costs originate from EU rules.

Lidegaard stated that this bureaucracy must be cleaned up. He said companies spend billions on red tape instead of innovation. The government aims to cut red tape to support local business growth.
