Technical Glitch at Nets Causes Duplicate Charges in Denmark and Sweden

A technical glitch at Nets caused duplicate payment charges for some cardholders. Customers in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway were charged twice for single purchases.

Nets discovered the system error on Thursday. The company expects to resolve the issue later on Friday. The duplicate transactions will be deleted automatically.

Peter Glüsing Pedersen is the press chief at Nets. He stated that only a small fraction of transactions were affected. Nets handles millions of card payments every day. In Denmark, the error affected a couple of thousand transactions.

Nets provides primary payment solutions across the Nordic region. In Denmark, Nets operates Dankort and processes Visa and Mastercard payments.
