Nets Payment Error Triggers Duplicate Charges Across the Nordics

You may see double charges on your recent bank transactions in the Nordics. Payment provider Nets experienced a technical glitch in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. The error caused some card payments to process twice.

Nets handles Dankort, Visa, and Mastercard transactions across Denmark and the Nordic region. Company press director Peter Glüsing Pedersen confirmed the issue was found on Thursday. He noted the error affected a tiny fraction of daily transactions. Only a couple of thousand purchases in Denmark were impacted by this bug.

Nets stated all duplicate charges will be reversed automatically on Friday. The money will return to affected bank accounts automatically. If you still see a duplicate charge, contact your bank directly. Check your local bank app to verify your recent purchases. This story was reported by CPH Post.
