Royal Run Sets Host Cities for May 2027

Royal Run will return in May 2027 with five host locations. Copenhagen and Frederiksberg will host the event again. Four new cities will join the host list for the first time. These cities are Silkeborg, Thisted, Vordingborg, and Haderslev.

The National Olympic Committee and Sports Confederation of Denmark announced the decision. The event will welcome 102,500 participants across the country. This is nearly 10,000 fewer runners than this year.

Organisers reduced capacity due to city infrastructure and logistics. Project manager Trygve Laub Asserhøj explained the decision to Ritzau. He said the lower participant limit fits local space constraints much better.
