Denmark’s national rail operator DSB ordered replacement buses for affected commuters. DSB has also updated its journey planner with new travel times. InterCity and express trains continue operating along the impacted line. However, passengers should expect longer journeys throughout the day. DSB staff in orange vests are assisting travelers at both stations.
Banedanmark, the rail infrastructure agency, is repairing the damaged cable. Full train service was scheduled to resume on Monday after earlier disruptions. The new cable damage has prevented full service restoration. Travelers have faced delays since an October 9 relay hut fire. The fire near Aarup destroyed signal equipment, causing countrywide train delays. Trains will run at reduced speeds and temporarily skip Aarup Station. This news was reported by Copenhagen Post.
