/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /A rare paper cutting by Hans Christian Andersen will go on sale on November 17. Auction house Bruun Rasmussen announced the upcoming sale in a press release. Experts expect the artwork to fetch between 8,000 and 10,000 Danish kroner. The piece features symbols of love and fidelity. It is a key item from Broholm Manor on Funen.
Andersen made the paper cutting around 1845 for Ida Sehested. She was the daughter of manor owner Frederik Sehested. The Danish author was born in Odense in 1805. He often visited castles and manors across Funen. He first visited Broholm Manor in 1836.

Andersen made his literary debut in 1822 with Youthful Attempts. He achieved his breakthrough in 1835 with The Improvisatore. That same year he published his first fairy tale collection. This news was originally reported by CPH Post.
