China extends APEC business travel card stays to 90 days

Business travelers from Denmark and Sweden can soon stay longer in China. China will extend the stay limit for APEC Business Travel Card holders. Starting November 1, 2026, cardholders can stay up to 90 days per visit. The current limit is 60 days.

China's Foreign Ministry announced the change recently, according to Global Times. The update comes before the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in Shenzhen. The policy aims to streamline cross-border travel for Asia-Pacific business leaders.

For workers and entrepreneurs in Copenhagen, this policy reduces administrative hassle. Frequent business trips to mainland China will require fewer visa renewals. Travelers gain greater scheduling flexibility for extended work projects.
