Italian Royal Gala apples recalled in Danish stores

Consumers in Denmark should check their recent grocery purchases for recalled apples. Italian Royal Gala apples from several supermarkets are recalled due to pest contamination risk.

Dagrofa announced the recall after identifying a risk of pest infestation. The affected apples were sold between September 30 and October 7. They were available at Meny, Spar, Let-Køb, and Min Købmand stores. Some independent shops also sold the affected fruit.

If you bought these apples, you can return them to the store for a refund. You can also choose to throw them away. DR reported this food safety recall.
