Denmark Shortens Post-Graduation Job-Seeking Visa to One Year
New SIRI rules effective October 2026 cut post-study job visas and end family permits for non-EU students.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Non-EU students in Denmark face tighter residence rules starting October 1, 2026.
The job-seeking permit after graduation will drop from three years to one year.
The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration announced these new regulations.
Accompanying family members can no longer receive residence permits under this student scheme.
These rules apply to students in state-approved higher education programs.
PhD students remain exempt from all of these changes.
