/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Danish employment grew by 3,600 people in August. Total employment reached over 3.09 million people. The labor market gained almost 30,000 workers in the past year. Economists attribute this growth to foreign workers and older employees. This strong job market helps foreign residents find work in Denmark.
Four right-wing parties are demanding broader tax cuts in the new budget. The government plan currently cuts taxes for high earners above 58,000 kroner monthly. Opposition leaders want tax cuts for workers earning lower incomes as well. They urge tax relief for waiters, shop workers, and electricians. The government needs support from these parties to pass its tax reform.
Housing patterns are also shifting across the country. More than half of 21-year-olds in Denmark now live with parents. That figure rose from 32 percent in 2011 to 57 percent in 2025. High property prices drive many young adults to stay at home longer. Youth living far from universities are more likely to move out.
Separately, police arrested two men in North Jutland on suspicion of espionage. Media reported the suspects targeted drone firm MyDefence. Both suspects are Ukrainian nationals in their early 20s. The case involves Danish intelligence services and ongoing court proceedings.
