Copenhagen police arrest 27-year-old over fake SMS scams
A 27-year-old Danish citizen has been remanded in custody for 27 days, accused of sending thousands of fraudulent text messages posing as energy companies Norlys and Andel.

He posed as major Danish energy companies Norlys and Andel. The fake messages tricked residents into sharing their credit card details. He then misused the stolen card information for financial gain.
Copenhagen Police conducted an intensive investigation across multiple police districts. The National Unit for Special Crime also assisted in the case. Police have not revealed how the suspect responded to the charges.
