Chinese embassies in Denmark and Sweden will close from October 1 to 8, 2026.
Visa application centers across Europe will also close during these eight days.
The temporary closure marks the combined National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays.
All regular document processing will pause entirely during the closure.
This includes passport renewals and document authentications.
Visa issuance for non-Chinese family members will also stop.
Special Saturday hours are scheduled to handle application volume.
Offices will open on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
