/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Planning a trip to China with foreign family members just became much easier. China expanded its 240-hour transit visa-free rules in late September 2026. Non-Chinese passport holders from 54 eligible countries can now visit multiple cities easily.
The updated policy covers major hub cities across China. These include Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Xi'an. Travelers no longer need to enter and exit through the same port. You can enter through one city and depart from another.
Travelers must hold an onward ticket to a third country within 10 days. You do not need to apply for a visa in advance. Simply present your onward ticket at immigration upon arrival.
China also offers a unilateral visa-free entry for ordinary tourist passports. This policy allows stays up to 30 days for tourism. It is valid until at least the end of 2027.
For Chinese residents in Denmark, this simplifies family travel. Non-Chinese partners or children can now join multi-stop China trips easily. Make sure to check official immigration lists before booking tickets. This news was reported by ChinaPie Editorial.
