Aarhus to lower bus and light rail fares to 15 DKK from 2027
Aarhus Municipality has approved a budget agreement to cut bus and light rail ticket prices to 15 Danish kroner starting in 2027.

Aarhus Municipality will provide 35 million Danish kroner each year from 2027. This annual funding will help lower ticket prices across the city. TV 2 Østjylland reported the details of the agreement.
A consultancy firm had evaluated the impact of the lower fare. They estimated that 15 Danish kroner tickets would boost public transit usage. The policy offers cheaper travel options for students, workers, and visitors.
