/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Stockholm bus riders may soon see more reliable bus lines. Region Stockholm and transit authority SL made a big decision. The region will run local buses on its own. This is the first time in 30 years.
Local buses will no longer rely on private firms. In Sweden, direct public management is called in egen regi. The new plan will give the region full control of buses. Leaders hope to fix delays and boost daily bus quality.
The change covers all bus routes in Stockholm County. Swedish local news outlet Mitt i reported the decision.
