Wrong-Way Driver Causes Accidents on Amager Motorway

Drivers around Copenhagen faced severe hazards on the Amager motorway this evening. A wrong-way driver caused several traffic accidents on the motorway. Copenhagen Police duty officer Rasmus Nielsen confirmed the incident to media outlet Ritzau.

Police officers successfully stopped the wrong-way vehicle. The driver is an elderly man who appeared confused. Authorities have received no reports of injuries so far.

Police are currently working to determine the total number of crashes. At least one accident occurred in Vestegnen. A motorcyclist was also reportedly hit near the bridge.

Officers will review video footage from the Danish Road Directorate traffic center. This will reveal whether more collisions happened between Vestegnen and Amager.
