Train Delays Between Ringsted and Slagelse Until Tuesday
Major damage to overhead lines near Sorø causes cancellations and delays on train routes across Zealand.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Train travel across Zealand faces delays and cancellations until Tuesday at 10:00 AM. A major wire fault near Sorø damaged the railway between Ringsted and Slagelse. DSB temporarily stopped all trains on Monday afternoon after detecting the fault. One track has now reopened, but rail capacity remains severely limited.
Banedanmark reported that a support cable fell down near Sorø. The falling cable damaged several components of the overhead power system. Maintenance director Nicolai Sigsgaard described the damage as extensive and complex. Banedanmark has called in all available maintenance workers to complete repairs.
DSB information chief Tony Bispeskov explained their temporary operating strategy. DSB is prioritizing international trains, InterCityLyn services, and standard InterCity trains. Extra bus replacement services are running between Ringsted and Slagelse. Some replacement buses will stop at Sorø station to assist local passengers.
