Five municipalities received permission to raise local income taxes next year.
These areas are Hørsholm, Holstebro, Odder, Morsø, and Hjørring.
Residents in these five municipalities will likely pay higher taxes.
Meanwhile, five other municipalities received permission to cut local taxes.
These areas are Gentofte, Gladsaxe, Allerød, Rudersdal, and Frederikssund.
Several of these municipalities are located near Copenhagen.
Residents in these areas may see tax savings next year.
The ministry published the official decision on its website.
It is up to each municipality to decide on the changes.
Local councils will now choose whether to implement the tax adjustments.
