Swedish Social Democrats Propose Citizenship Transitional Rules
Foreign residents who applied for Swedish citizenship before June 6 could keep earlier rules under a new proposal.

Under the plan, about 100,000 people would keep the five-year stay rule. They would also skip new language and civics tests.
This plan covers Sweden and the Öresund region. As reported by The Local, it gives clarity to foreign staff, students, and families.
