Copenhagen Apartment Prices Plateau in July

Copenhagen apartment buyers can enjoy a pause in rising housing costs. Average sales prices for owner-occupied apartments in Copenhagen did not change in July. However, prices are still 21 percent higher than last year. This gives local buyers a short break after months of steep price gains.

Data from housing website Boligsiden shows the market cooled down during the summer. Housing economists say apartment prices grew much faster than detached house prices. At the same time, more apartments became available on the market. Bank experts from Nordea note that this increased supply helped slow down price growth.
