SAS to Launch Direct Copenhagen to Mumbai Route
SAS will launch a direct route between Copenhagen and Mumbai from October 1st.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Travelers in Denmark and southern Sweden can soon fly directly to Mumbai. Scandinavian airline SAS will launch a direct route between Copenhagen and Mumbai on October 1st.
The route will operate five times a week throughout the entire year. Airbus A330 aircraft will fly the route with 266 seats on each flight.
This is the first direct SAS route between Denmark and India in 17 years. SAS last flew between Copenhagen and New Delhi in 2009 before closing the route to save costs.
Air India currently operates direct flights between Copenhagen and New Delhi. Mumbai offers direct access to the west coast of India.
SAS commercial director Paul Verhagen called the launch a major milestone for the airline. He stated that it connects Scandinavia with a major global economic center.
SAS noted that the route will strengthen Copenhagen Airport as a transit hub. The airport connects to major European cities and destinations like New York, Boston, and Toronto. (Source: The Local)
