/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Rundetårn's historic observatory in Copenhagen is reopening to the public this October. Visitors can look at Saturn and the Moon through its restored 1929 telescope. This offers a unique evening activity for local residents, families, and visitors in Copenhagen.
Rundetårn announced the reopening after completing a major restoration of the observatory. The project restored both the historic dome and the nearly 100-year-old telescope.
The observatory will open on Monday and Tuesday evenings from October to March. During clear weather, staff will guide visitors through the night sky. They will talk about stars, planets, and the history of the tower. This autumn, guests can see Saturn and the Moon clearly through the lens.
The site was built in 1929 as a public observatory. Earlier, Copenhagen University astronomers used the space for their official research work. The news was reported by Danish broadcaster DR.
