Rigshospitalet partners with Norway for rare child liver transplants
Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen will bring in Norwegian surgeons for rare child liver transplants after two doctors left.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen is getting help from Norway for rare pediatric liver transplants. Two surgeons at the hospital recently left their positions. Rigshospitalet signed a agreement with Oslo University Hospital.
An experienced Norwegian surgeon will travel to Denmark to assist with operations. These rare liver transplants happen four to twelve times each year.
Danish patients facing high-risk situations will travel to Oslo for treatment. This includes very small or vulnerable children. Hospital officials expect one or two patients to travel to Oslo annually.
