France has extended border controls at all internal Schengen borders until April 30, 2027.
The temporary checks will run from November 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027.
France formally notified the European Commission about this six-month extension.
The controls apply to land, air, and sea borders.
Border checks cover routes with Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Spain, and Italy.
French officials cited security and migration management concerns for the decision.
Chinese residents, students, and tourists should carry valid passports and residence permits when traveling.
Border controls may cause travel delays across major French entry points and transit routes.
