Revamped Huanggang border port opens with 5-minute clearance

Chinese residents traveling home via Hong Kong now face much shorter border queues. The newly rebuilt Huanggang Port officially opened on October 12, 2026.

The port features a new single-checkpoint joint clearance system. Travelers complete Hong Kong exit and mainland entry in one automated process.

This system cuts crossing times from 30 minutes to just 5 minutes. The port operates 24 hours a day at the Shenzhen-Hong Kong border.

Many Chinese residents in Copenhagen transit through Hong Kong to visit family. They also use this route for business trips to mainland China.
