Central Copenhagen faces traffic delays during October state visit

Central Copenhagen will see high security and traffic delays during an upcoming state visit. King Frederik and Queen Mary will host Vietnamese President To Lam. The visit takes place from October 19 to 21, 2026. First Lady Ngo Phuong Ly will also attend the three-day official event.

The royal couple will welcome the visitors with official ceremonies at Kastellet. A royal carriage procession will also take place through the city streets. Bilateral talks during the visit will focus on green transition, health, and trade. (Source: CPH Post)
