Real Income in Denmark Rose by 1.4 Percent Last Year
Danish real income grew last year as higher employment boosted overall purchasing power across the country.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /People living in Denmark saw their real income rise last year. Average purchasing power grew by 1.4 percent after adjusting for inflation. Statistics Denmark released the new figures today.
The average total income before tax reached 428,800 Danish kroner last year. This covers everyone in Denmark over 15 years old. Total income went up by 3.4 percent compared to the year before. This total includes salaries, public benefits, pensions, and stock investments.
Higher employment was a key reason for the income growth. Allan Sørensen is the chief economist at Dansk Industri. He said rising employment gives more people an earned income. This puts more money directly into people's hands.
Wage income alone saw a strong increase. Average salaries for people over 15 rose by 3.7 percent. The average wage income reached 278,600 Danish kroner last year. This report reflects figures published by DR.
