More than 700 drivers in Denmark received speeding tickets every day in 2025.

Drivers were caught speeding in urban areas with 50 km/h speed limits.

Over 250,000 drivers received fines in these urban zones last year.

The national police provided these figures to the insurance company Gjensidige.

North Zealand recorded the highest number of speeding fines among all police districts.

Police issued 39,505 speeding fines in North Zealand during 2025.

This represents a 56 percent increase compared to 2024.

In 2024, North Zealand police registered 25,337 speeding fines.

Fyn police district also saw a significant rise in speeding tickets.

Fines in Fyn rose from 26,116 in 2024 to 32,888 in 2025.

The data shows widespread speeding inside city limits across Denmark.
