Novonesis stock jumps over ten percent on Danish index

Danish biotech firm Novonesis saw its stock surge by over ten percent on Thursday.

This marks the company's largest single-day stock increase in more than a decade.

According to The Copenhagen Post, Novonesis topped the Danish C25 stock index.

Novonesis was formed by the merger of Chr. Hansen and Novozymes.

The last time the stock saw a similar jump was in October 2015.

At that time, the former company Novozymes rose by 10.8 percent.
