Novo Nordisk Launches Wegovy Pill in Germany

Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk has launched its Wegovy weight-loss pill in Germany. This marks the first time the oral treatment is available in an EU country.

The company confirmed the launch to Danish news agency Ritzau. The pill serves as an alternative to the Wegovy injection. It is meant for adults with severe obesity or overweight with related health conditions.

Novo Nordisk previously released the pill in the US, UAE, and UK. Executive Mike Doustdar recently stated that German patients would get access during September. DR reported the news.
