Germany Extends Denmark Border Checks Until March 2027
Land travel from Denmark to Germany will require identity checks through March 2027.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Travelling from Denmark to Germany will involve border checks until March 2027. Travelers must carry their original passport and valid residence permit or Schengen visa.
An updated European Commission notification confirmed the extension. Germany extended controls on all nine land borders. This includes the border with Denmark.
Checks will run until March 15, 2027. Police will conduct spot checks at highway checkpoints. They will also inspect passengers on international trains.
Poland also extended its border checks. Controls cover its borders with Germany and Lithuania. These checks will remain until March 30, 2027.
