Five Danish Municipalities Approved to Raise Local Taxes Next Year

Residents in five Danish municipalities may pay higher local taxes next year. The Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Interior approved their tax requests. This decision allows five local councils to collect more revenue.

The affected areas are Hørsholm, Holstebro, Odder, Morsø, and Hjørring. Together, these tax raises equal about 194 million Danish kroner. Hørsholm will raise taxes the most. It received approval to collect 65.7 million Danish kroner more. Holstebro follows Hørsholm in tax increase approvals. The Copenhagen Post reported the ministry approvals.
