Faster Chinese Imports Reach Northern Europe via Arctic Route

Shipping goods from China to Northern Europe will now take about 20 days. This is almost half the time needed for the Suez Canal route. Faster shipping directly benefits local traders, e-commerce businesses, and consumers in Northern Europe. The China-Europe Arctic container express route started regular weekly summer operations on August 15, 2026.

The container ship Dubai Tower left Ningbo-Zhoushan Port on that day. It travels to Northern Europe using the Northeast Arctic Passage. The service will run through October with at least eight planned voyages. It carries high-value cargo and goods that need temperature control. Taipei Times reported this new logistical milestone.
