EU Delays ETIAS Travel System Until 2027
Chinese residents in Denmark and Sweden with visa-exempt visitors will not need pre-travel clearance yet as ETIAS is delayed to 2027.

The European Union has delayed the launch of ETIAS until 2027.
The system was previously expected to go live in late 2026.
ETIAS is a digital security clearance for visa-exempt travellers visiting 30 European countries.
Technical coordination and IT integration issues across Schengen member states caused the delay.
Tafapolsky reports that travelers now face no extra applications or fees in the near term.
