E45 Motorway Closed Near Horsens This Saturday

Drivers in Denmark face major weekend travel delays on the E45 motorway. The road will close between Hedensted and Horsens C. This closure starts on Saturday at 15:00. It will end on Sunday at 09:00.

The Danish Road Directorate announced the closure in a press release. Workers must demolish an old motorway bridge on Vestvejen. Extra traffic is expected on E45 slip roads. Marked detour routes will also see heavy traffic.

Project manager John Kjærsgaard shared advice from previous roadwork projects. The first few hours of closure are usually the busiest. Driving late Saturday night or waiting until Sunday saves time. Local drivers should avoid the marked detour route if possible. The road authority recommends driving before 15:00 or after 20:00 on Saturday.
