The Danish Security and Intelligence Service PET issued a public warning about covert recruitment.
According to intelligence officials, covert assignments are disguised as harmless freelance tasks.
These tasks include photography, journalism, market research, and local reporting work.
PET counterintelligence chief Emil Græsholm said foreign services recruit through hidden intermediaries.
Agents conceal their true identities from workers.
Workers often do not know who they are really working for.
Intelligence officials warned that Russian services may specifically target Ukrainian refugees.
PET is distributing informational material in Ukrainian to help residents spot deceptive offers.
