Denmark to introduce stun guns for police nationwide
Denmark will equip all police districts with stun guns and invest nearly 800 million Danish kroner to expand police operations.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Danish police will equip officers nationwide with stun guns across all districts. Denmark will allocate nearly 800 million Danish kroner from 2027 for police expansion. The expansion includes the Danish Security and Intelligence Service.
This decision follows a police trial lasting nearly two years. The test started in December 2024 with around 230 officers. It took place in North Jutland, South Zealand, Lolland-Falster, and Copenhagen Western Suburbs.
National Police figures show officers used stun guns 325 times during the test. The equipment will now roll out across all police districts in Denmark. The Copenhagen Post reported these new safety measures.
