Denmark Sees First Cloudburst of the Day

Danish broadcaster DR reported the first official cloudburst in Lynge near Allerød. In Lynge, 26.6 millimeters of rain fell in just thirty minutes. Nearly 15 millimeters fell within five minutes.
Intense rain also hit Tønder, reaching 20.8 millimeters in half an hour. A cloudburst means over 15 millimeters of rain falls within 30 minutes. This equals 15 liters of water per square meter.
More local cloudbursts may occur across Denmark throughout the day.
