Denmark school holiday dates for 2026 and 2027 announced

Parents in Denmark can now plan childcare and travel for 2026 and 2027. Denmark has outlined the general school holiday schedule for the upcoming academic period. Checking these dates early helps families organize holidays and daily routines.

The Christmas holiday runs from December 21st 2026 to January 1st 2027. Pupils then get a winter break from February 15th to February 19th 2027. The Easter break takes place between March 22nd and March 29th 2027.

Spring holidays include Ascension Day on May 6th and May 7th 2027. Pentecost follows soon after from May 16th to May 17th 2027. Constitution Day falls on June 5th 2027. Summer holidays start on June 28th 2027 and end on August 6th 2027.

Specific holiday dates may vary slightly depending on your individual school. Parents should verify exact start and end dates with their local school.

Certain dates like Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, Labour Day, and Constitution Day are special days. Employers may not grant these as paid days off for workers. Parents might need to use annual leave or organize extra childcare on these specific dates. According to thelocal.dk, early planning ensures smoother arrangements for working parents.
