Three Danish restaurants rank among the world's top 40 for 2026.

Alchemist in Copenhagen took third place overall.

This makes it the highest-ranked restaurant in Denmark.

Asador Etxebarri in Spain won first place.

Gaggan in Thailand took second place.

Alchemist moved up from fifth place in 2025.

Head chef Rasmus Munk praised his team for their daily hard work.

Kadeau in Christianshavn jumped from 41st place to eighth place.

It won the Highest Climber award for this big leap.

Jordnær in Gentofte also made the top 40 list.

More than 1,100 international experts voted for this year's list.

Each voter chose ten dining experiences from the past 18 months.

Danish places like Geranium and Noma previously took the top spot.
