Denmark Proposes Middle Tax Cut for 619,000 People

The middle tax is a state income tax of 7.5 percent. People pay this tax on earnings above a specific threshold.
Minister for Taxation and Growth Jakob Engel-Schmidt announced the plan. Engel-Schmidt represents the Moderates party. The government hopes to make the change as early as 2027.
This change would lower annual income taxes for over 600,000 people. The Copenhagen Post reported on this government tax proposal.
