Denmark Opens 300,000 Square Metres of New Coastal Nature

Residents in Denmark can now visit a new coastal nature park near Rødbyhavn. The area covers 300,000 square metres of brand-new land. It marks the first part of a planned seven-kilometre recreational coastline. This project is part of the Fehmarnbelt fixed link tunnel construction.

Workers created this entire landscape using material excavated from the seabed. The new area features walking trails, ponds, and protected habitats for wildlife. It offers outdoor activities for families, workers, students, and tourists. The site sits along the major infrastructure route connecting Scandinavia to Germany.
