Denmark Launches New Strategy to Halve Drowning Deaths

Denmark is launching a new national initiative to reduce drowning fatalities by half. Safety organizations and public authorities met at The Black Diamond in Copenhagen today. They discussed new preventive measures for harbors, canals, and coastal areas. This initiative directly impacts residents and visitors who enjoy Copenhagen's waterfronts.

The campaign brings together major Danish institutions. Key partners include TrygFonden, the Zealand Region Prehospital Center, and the Danish Resuscitation Council. TrygFonden project manager René Højer stated that most drowning accidents can be prevented.
