/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /A major data leak has exposed millions of personal records in Denmark. The breach involved about 8.8 million entries in the CPR register. This makes it the largest data breach in Danish history. The leaked data includes records of former and deceased residents. An IT firm secured admin accounts with the password 123456. A hacker later contacted the newspaper Politiken directly.
Danish police are also preparing for major operational changes. Stun guns will roll out to every police district soon. This follows a two-year trial period across the country. Human rights groups have already raised concerns about the plan. The government will also add nearly 800 million kroner in funding. This money will expand the police and security service PET from 2027.
Students living in Denmark may also face new education rules. A government plan proposes removing SU grants for some students. This change would affect 14,000 students who live with their parents.
