Denmark Democrats propose banning non-Danish languages and fasting in schools

The right-wing party Danmarksdemokraterne wants to ban non-Danish languages in youth education. Under this plan, students must speak only Danish during school hours. This rule would also apply during breaks between classes. Students who break the rule could face expulsion.
The party presented a 15-point plan to fight negative social control. The proposal also includes a ban on fasting at school. In addition, new students must shake hands on their first day. They must shake hands with the principal and an administrator. One of these staff members must be of the opposite sex. The Copenhagen Post reported on this new proposal.
