Denmark Allocates 100 Million Kroner to Improve Public Transport
Denmark invests 100 million kroner in rural transport, including bringing Rejsekort payment options to Bornholm.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Denmark allocates 100 million Danish kroner to improve rural public transport. The money helps regional bus and bike services across the country.
The government agreed on this deal with Enhedslisten and Alternativet. City, Rural, and Transport Minister Signe Munk announced the decision. She said rural transport faces big challenges.
Out of the total fund, 20 million kroner goes to new payment solutions. Bornholm gets three million kroner to adopt the Rejsekort app and card. The ministry has not set an exact start date for Bornholm.
The remaining 80 million kroner goes directly to regional transport providers. Companies can test on-demand buses, volunteer buses, and shared bikes. These projects aim to connect local areas much better.
