/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Most Danish residents believe artificial intelligence will help companies far more than individual workers. This finding comes from a new survey by the Danish foundation TrygFonden.
Two-thirds of Danes expect businesses to benefit from artificial intelligence. However, only half as many believe employees will see similar gains.
Concerns are highest among younger residents entering the local job market. Six out of ten people aged 18 to 35 share this fear. They worry AI makes it harder for graduates to find employment. Across the total population, 46 percent share this concern.
A September analysis from Danmarks Nationalbank supports some of these concerns. Youth hiring grew slower at AI-using companies than at other firms. Still, affected young workers generally found job opportunities elsewhere. The central bank expects businesses to adopt AI gradually over time. This slow adoption allows workers to transition into other available roles. However, long-term impacts on Danish employment remain uncertain.
Frederik Olsen is a senior analyst at economic institute Arbejderbevægelsens Erhvervsråd. He states there is no evidence that companies benefit more than workers. He stresses that training and skills development are vital for everyone.
