Copenhagen SIRI Center Reschedules Appointments After Incident

The SIRI citizen service center on Carl Jacobsens Vej in Valby closed on Monday. Canceled appointments will be rescheduled. This decision followed a self-harm incident inside the building.

Copenhagen Police received a report at 10:12 a.m. on September 28, 2026. A man set himself on fire inside the SIRI offices. A quick employee managed to extinguish the flames. Emergency services transported the man to Rigshospitalet for treatment.

Police said the man suffered severe pain from his injuries. His condition was later declared non-life-threatening. Relatives have been informed about his status. Authorities found no immediate signs of a criminal act.
