Copenhagen Housing Supply Doubles as Nationwide Listings Fall

Buying an apartment in Copenhagen is becoming much easier for local house hunters. Available property listings in the capital city have more than doubled over the past year. This shift offers home seekers far more options and stronger negotiating power.

The figures were released in early November 2026 by the housing platform Boligsiden. The report was published by the Copenhagen Post. Owner-occupied apartment listings in Copenhagen and Frederiksberg doubled compared to last year.

This capital growth stands in sharp contrast to the rest of the country. Across Denmark outside the capital region, housing supply actually dropped by 10 percent. Buyers looking in Copenhagen now face much less competition than in previous months.
