/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Eight in ten companies in Denmark want to help during national crises. However, two-thirds do not know who to contact to offer help. A new analysis from the Confederation of Danish Industry revealed these findings. Many local firms have emergency equipment available. For example, they have power generators or water pumps. These tools help during severe flooding or power cuts.
Morten Høyer is policy head at the Confederation of Danish Industry. He stated that businesses can help people faster and cheaper. He asked municipalities to map company resources for crisis plans. Lisbeth Bech-Nielsen is the Minister for Societal Resilience and Contingency. She agreed that companies need clear contact paths. She plans to announce new measures on this issue soon.
Maja Broløs directs Virksomhedsberedskabet, a national contingency mapping programme. She stressed the importance of planning before a crisis hits. She noted that non-traditional organisations can also assist. For instance, Copenhagen Zoo has fenced areas, kitchens, and operating theatres. Official contact channels will help integrate these resources into public emergency plans. (Source: The Local)
